Charleston Weekend

Back from Charleston. The move went great and my friend has a fantastic apartment really close to downtown. Ate lots of tasty food. Got caught in a severe thunderstorm (this is hurricane season) and couldn't believe how muggy it was down there.

Sure, you've got the water and the bridges and the ships. . . but it is 100 times worse on the humidity front. I'm honestly not sure the trade-off is worth it.

I was sad to leave my friend behind, but very happy to get back to the relatively dry air of Charlotte. Phew! The silver lining to losing her is the fantastic spare bedroom calling my name in one of the coolest tourist spots in the South.

The "Tall Ships" were in town this weekend for the annual Charleston Harborfest. So cool!
