The weather so perfect tonight - low humidity makes 80 degrees feel like paradise. But I can't open my windows because the darn cicadas are so noisy they drown out the TV. I wish I were exaggerating, but I'm not. How they make such noise is beyond me. It sounds like an army out there, but I've heard even just one quarter-sized bug can make quite a racket.

We have them going like crazy here, too! They can be VERY loud.
I used to hate them in Missouri and then when we moved away no one in my family could fall asleep. I guess they became our white noise.
