We grew a special bond when I traded my Mazda for a Pontiac, even though I've never much liked the color or look of it. Still, I always figured once I finally drove it into the ground, I'd trade it for another Pontiac. I kinda like this one:

But I guess not. GM is discontinuing the Pontiac line. It makes me sad to see the American Auto industry dying out.
To say nothing of my trade-in value.

This is how a collector's item is made.
I'm confident that the american car industry has been sitting on it's traditions and laurels for too long.
They're going to be thrilled to find new pastures of innovation and capitalism once this whole thing shakes out and the growing pains pass.
