Gloomy

Remember how that cloud of dirt was always swirling around Pigpen in the Peanuts comic? That was me today. Only it was a dark mood, rather than dirt. I didn't have any reason to be glum, either. In our weekly staff meeting, the boss had us write down five things that drive us crazy about our jobs and then figure out how we're going to tackle them in 2009. I could only come up with one - I'm consistently working longer than eight hours a day. Everything else about my job pretty much rocks. And the other parts of my life are going just fine. All I can figure is that I'm in need of a vacation. . . and that maybe I've watched a little too much of my favorite misanthrope (Dr. House) and he's rubbing off.

I am sorry you have the gloom. Hopefully you get a vacation soon and just maybe the gloom will dissipate.
Happy New Year! I hope to see you soon, I think I am going to have to utilize my vacation time and visit North Carolina.

Hey, we can find enough fun stuff to do when you arrive to lift your gloom! As long as you don't count the weather as a factor for gloomness! And, that is EXACTLY why I don't watch House because of the constant negativeness and contention that prevails in the story line! I prefer NCIS reruns - try them, you may like them.

Negativeness? Seriously? Well, you and I both know that the gloom is best fought with yummy food, some exercise and The Bachelor. :) Love you and we are all so so excited about seeing you on Thursday!
